Arthritis Yields to Exercise
- Moderate exercise can help older women prevent debilitating
An Australian study shows that exercising
a little over an hour a week can provide benefits to older women for
the next three years.
...But it doesn't have to be extreme.
Women who exercised
just 75 minutes a week had fewer symptoms of arthritis than those who
exercised less. They say walking, swimming, and even weight training
are great ways to get exercise. Arthritis is the number-one cause of
disability in the U.S. and Australia.
