These recommended home cures are inexpensive, easy to implement and will not harm you… so enjoy and use them in good health!

Aching muscles: Combine 1 tablespoon of horseradish with 1 cup of olive oil. Allow it to sit for 30 minutes and then massage it into the achy muscles to provide relief.

Arthritis pain: Combine 2 cups of instant oats and 1 cup of water in a bowl and warm in the microwave or a pan to the point that it is not too hot to the touch. Apply the mixture to your hands for soothing relief from arthritis pain. Or; before each meal, drink a glass of water containing 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar. Note that it may take up to three weeks for positive results to take hold. Or; mix 1/4 to 1 teaspoon of cayenne with your preferred fruit or vegetable juice and take daily. Cayenne is an anti-inflammatory which will improve joint mobility and reduce pain.

Athlete's foot: Cornstarch is a great alternative to expensive foot powders and tonics. No preparation required.

Bee, Wasp and Hornet stings: Relieve the pain by applying a poultice made up of baking soda and water. Use a gauze pad and bandage to keep the poultice in place. Or; soak a towel in hot water – wring it out and sprinkle a generous portion of meat tenderiser (papayin enzyme) onto the towel. Then apply it to the sting, re-treating the towel every five minutes for about half an hour. The hot towel causes the pores of the skin to open and the tenderiser will neutralize the venom. If you do this quickly enough after the sting you can completely eliminate pain and swelling.

Boils and pimples: Combine 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice with 1 cup of boiled water. Apply to some clean cotton fabric or a cotton ball and clean the infected area. Once the area is clean, you should soak it for an additional 10 minutes to ensure disinfection. Or; make a tomato paste compress and cover the boil. The acids from the tomatoes will soothe the pain and bring the boil to a head.

Bruises: Soak a cotton ball in white vinegar and apply it to the bruise for an hour. The vinegar will reduce the swelling and aid the healing process.

Corns: Slice off one end of a lemon so that you have a ½ inch access hole. Prior to getting into bed for the night, insert the toe with the corn into the hole in the lemon and leave it on overnight. To keep the lemon in place we recommend either wearing a sock or wrapping with a compression bandage. Continue to do this until the corn disappears. Or, apply an apple cider vinegar compress (a cotton ball soaked in apple cider vinegar) to the area and soak for a hour at a time until the corn eventually lifts off.

Cough: Mix 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/2 cup water, 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper and 4 teaspoons raw honey and take every hour until cough subsides.

Haemorrhoids: Apply a cotton ball soaked with lemon juice to the affected area.

Hiccups: Suck a lemon wedge doused with Worcester sauce. Or; swallow 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and your hiccups should stop immediately.

Insect bites & stings: To help draw out any poison, apply a freshly-cut slice of raw onion directly over to the affected area. Keep the onion in place for at least 1 hour using a compression bandage, band-aid or regular tape. To relieve itching you can use a cotton ball to dab your bites with apple cider vinegar straight from the bottle.

Lice: While bathing or showering, vigorously massage mayonnaise into your hair and scalp and it will kill the lice as well as condition your hair. Rinse and repeat as required.

Migraine or regular headache: Chew on 5 feverfew leaves to relieve the pain.

Motion sickness: Olives and lemons are time tested motion sickness remedies. Olives produce chemicals called tannins, which make your mouth dry. Sucking on a mouth-puckering lemon also helps. The other natural remedy is eating some Ginger root. Ginger works by absorbing gastro-intestinal acids which counteracts nausea.

Poison ivy, poison oak, poison sumac: Make a poultice by mixing three parts baking soda and one part water. Apply it to the affected area, let it dry, and then wash it off. Similar to calamine lotion, this poultice will dry out the area and reduce itching and further inflammation.

Skin blemishes: Dab of raw honey onto the blemish and place a band-aid over it. Bacteria cannot live in raw honey, so this will sterilize the area and speed healing. Or; for a quick pimple treatment simply dab some toothpaste on it and leave it on over night.

Or; put a teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar in a glass of water - gargle and then swallow. Or; mix a tablespoon of raw honey and the juice of one lemon into a cup of warm water, and sip.

Upset stomach: Drink 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar that has been mixed with 1 cup of room temperature water.

Yeast infections: Mix 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with 1 quart of warm water and douche the area. This application will correct the pH balance in the vagina to prevent yeast from forming.
